RFM gains nearly 200,000 listeners

With 2.43 million daily listeners, RFM gained 199,000 listeners (up 9%) during one sweeps period.

RFM posted excellent ratings for its strategic targets:

  • For ages 35-49: 7% cumulative audience, i.e. 877,000 daily listeners and 55,000 gained during one sweeps period. The radio station posted audience share of 4.8%, ranking it No. 2 among music stations,* and achieved the longest time spent listening among music stations (1 hr. 45 min.).
  • In addition, an increasing number of women are listening to RFM: 4.7% cumulative audience, i.e. 1.296 million women listening to the station every day, with 87,000 new female listeners since the last sweeps period.

Listeners are giving the thumbs up to the show, which was launched last autumn. The two hosts attract 816,000 listeners every day between 5 pm and 8 pm, gaining 174,000 new listeners during one sweeps period, up 27%. RFM’s late afternoon audience share also grew by 0.3 point to 3%.
RFM is beginning the summer with growth in all music segments (between 0.1 and 0.3 point in cumulative audience). The station is drawing an increasing number of listeners by offering high-quality, wide-ranging music and artists, including Jean Jacques Goldman, Rihanna, Francis Cabrel, Zazie, Patrick Bruel and Bruno Mars.
