Radio-Canada and Europe Images International: distribution partnership for Europe and french-speaking Africa

Radio-Canada is pleased to announce the signing of a distribution agreement with Europe Images International for Europe and French-speaking Africa. The agreement covers a catalogue of approximately 80 hours of history, current affairs, social issues, and lifestyle documentaries, as well as animation, short films and archival interviews. Also included are such major series as La grande révolution de l’alimentation (The Great Food Revolution), Pour l’amour du ciel (Canada: Above and Beyond), L’Arctique en pleine mutation (The Rapidly Changing Arctic) and Rwanda, une guerre qui ne veut pas mourir (Rwanda: A Horror Without End).

“Radio-Canada aims to leverage Europe Images International’s vast reach and expertise to more effectively promote its brand in French-speaking markets around the world,” said Robert Trempe, Senior Executive Director, Revenue, for CBC/Radio-Canada French Services.

“We’re delighted to be promoting this high-quality catalogue backed by the solid Radio Canada name,” Frank Soloveicik, CEO of Europe Images International. “It will help round out our program offering, especially in the area of documentaries – a genre well suited to multiplatform applications and long-term, international distribution.”
