Marie-Laure Cahier’s Appointment

Marie-Laure Cahier, aged 42, will join Armand Colin in the next few weeks to assume the role of Managing Director, replacing Guillaume Dervieux, who has decided to take a new direction in his career and will be leaving the group.

Marie-Laure Cahier joined Dunod in 1993 as editor in charge of the Company and Management collection. Her final role with the company was as Editorial Director.

Marie-Laure Cahier is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and holds a degree in law.

Founded by Auguste Armand Colin in 1870, Armand Colin is a publisher of educational reference works, with a catalogue that currently extends to 1,500 titles and 26 reviews. The company’s publications meet the needs of educational professionals and all students in human and social sciences, from intake classes to postgraduate and top teaching qualification level. Armand Colin also publishes historical essays, documents and books.

Armand Colin joined the Hachette Livre group as a result of the acquisition, in 2004, of 40% of the shares of Editis, sold to Groupe Lagardère by Vivendi.
