Leading French television producer Lagardère Entertainment to sell animation production activity

In a desire to focus on the development of its fiction and unscripted programming, Lagardère Entertainment has decided to sell its animation production company Genao Productions to its two directors, Sandrine Nguyen and Boris Hertzog.
Since 2008, Genao Productions, which will remain a Lagardère Entertainment company, has developed and produced 9 series, whose rights it will continue to retain.
Sandrine Nguyen and Boris Hertzog will pursue the animation business within their own company, OuiDO Productions, producing namely adaptions of renowned national and international properties:

  • Alvinnnn ! & les Chipmunks” (52 x 13) for M6, in coproduction with Bagdasarian Productions.
  • Sonic Boom” (52 x 13) for Gulli, Canal J and CN (U.S.A) in coproduction with SEGA.
  • Mini Loup“, season 2 (52 x 7) for France Télévision.

OuiDO Productions will also develop an adaptation of the comic strip published by Delcourt Publishing Company, “Les Légendaires” (26 x 22), with TF1, and will continue its policy of aquiring audivisual adaptation rights to licenses and original properties.

Lagardère Entertainment Rights will continue distributing the series produced by Genao Productions (Linus et Boom, Scary Larry, Fish N’ Chips, Mini-Loup) and, notably, Sonic Boom.
