Jean-Luc Lagardère Foundation: Talent Grants for Young Creatives

Corporate & other activities, CSR

Paris, March 17, 2008

Ten grants totalling 255,000 euros are to be awarded this year to young artists and media professionals for original, French-language projects in the fields of writing, film/video, music and digital media(1).

The size and diversity of these grants, which have been awarded by prestigious juries since 1989, make the Jean-Luc Lagardère Foundation the leading supporter of young French creative talent. They offer the recipients financial assistance to complete their projects, and serve as a springboard for their future professional life.

Candidates must be under the age of 30 (35 for booksellers) and have made a successful start in their chosen field. Application forms can be downloaded from the Foundation’s website as of 17 March, and must be returned by 14 June 2008 at the latest.

The Jean-Luc Lagardère Foundation was set up to create and foster excellence in the areas of sport and culture. Its ambition is also to build trust between communities and instil a sense of solidarity. The Jean-Luc Lagardère Foundation supports young talents and charitable projects by individuals. Finally, it builds quality sport and culture establishments and is committed to helping those in underprivileged neighbourhoods.
