HDS Digital is preparing the opening of a new concept of point of sales for digital press by 2006

A new company created by Hachette Distribution Services, HDS Digital is preparing the opening of a new concept of point of sales for digital press by 2006. They intend to fully develop the digital press market in France, profiting from their experience in press retailing gained by the Group in the Relay points of sales, and in implementing the Virgin brand with its unique approach to consumers and web surfers. V

arious offers will be made to readers, proposing different means of access to fully digitalized magazines such as on a single copy basis, or other innovative formulae aimed at seducing and securing the loyalty of readers open to discovering new ways of press access.

Relying on the combined expertise of the HDS DIGITAL and IMMANENS teams, these latter providing an efficient magazine digitalization service, the company aims at bringing together French publishers around a single standard that will enable the end user to adopt this new reading experience.
