Garance Dupuis has been appointed legal affairs director for Lagardère Active

Executive vice-president of operations Edward Russo has announced the appointment of Garance Dupuis as legal affairs director for Lagardère Active.

She is taking over from Florence Lonis, who is assuming new duties in the Lagardère Group’s Legal Affairs department.

This appointment is effective as of 31 January 2011.

Garance Dupuis has been a member of the Lagardère Group's Legal Affairs team since January 2000. After serving as the mergers and acquisitions manager for the Media branch, she had been, until this latest appointment, in charge of the Economic Rights and Regulations division (competition/contracts/regulations).

Ms Dupuis has been an attorney in Paris since 1993. She served for two years as a lawyer with the European Commission in Brussels, for three years at the Paris law firm Kahn & Associates and for five years at France Télécom (satellite TV/radio contracts, then international mergers and acquisitions). After completing her primary and secondary education at the Ecole Active Bilingue (bilingual school) in Paris, she studied business law and international law at the University of Paris II-Assas and earned an advanced degree in European law from the College of Europe in Bruges in 1989.
