Fashion not only stands for style, passion and creativity, but also for generosity. ELLE magazine and the ELLE.fr website, together with this generous fashion world, want to invite you to a special event in December!

ELLE and ELLE.fr, in partnership with the French Red Cross and Brandalley, are offering a one-off sales event to benefit women, especially at-risk women living in difficult situations.

Major fashion brands are helping us with this project. The goal is to help fund four French Red Cross projects for the most disadvantaged women: women’s and children’s shelters, mother-infant drop-in centres, parent-child drop-in centres and the Maison Adriana women’s shelter.
How? By offering seasonal and one-off private sales at ELLE.fr from 1 to 25 December, with all profits going to the French Red Cross. Some 25 fashion brands heeded ELLE.fr‘s call, offering ELLE readers and Internet users a new benefit sale every day at a special price of 60% off!
The many collectors’ items and luxury and designer brands on offer include Jerome Dreyfuss and Jimmy Choo handbags, Chloe jackets, Christian Dior children’s accessories, Gas jewellery, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac dresses, Zadig & Voltaire cashmere sweaters and Jean-Paul Gaultier jackets.

We began our fashion year celebrating and supporting young designers and new talents, and now we want to end it showing that fashion is also a business that cares about women. That’s what’s behind this last major event of 2011, with our ‘The fashion world works for women’ campaign,” says Armelle Thoraval, editor-in-chief of ELLE.fr.

Become a caring shopper and help us raise funds! Explore a new sale every day at ELLE.fr beginning at 10 am. Hurry – there are a limited number of items!

About the French Red Cross projects we are supporting:

  • Women's and children's shelters: in Nantes, Migennes and Talent, three centres provide shelter and counselling to young, isolated mothers who have at least one child under the age of three. A new shelter is scheduled to open in Argenteuil in 2012.
  • Mother-infant drop-in centres: there are six such centres, which help struggling mothers of infants.
  • Parent-child drop-in centres: 11 centres offer food and clothing aid to parents with children under the age of six. These centres are mainly used by single female parents.

Maison Adriana, located in Perpignan, provides appropriate shelter for women in need.
