Renaud Leblond has been named associate director of the Jean-Luc Lagardère Foundation.

Renaud Leblond, 40, joins the Lagardère group as associate director of the Jean-Luc Lagardère Foundation, which is chaired by Arnaud Lagardère. He replaces Virginie Teissier, who has taken the position of RTL communications director, and will assist Thierry Funck Brentano, human relations director and communications director for the Lagardère group, and Arnaud Molinié, chief of staff and deputy communications director for the group.

Renaud Leblond will be in charge of operations for the Jean-Luc Lagardère Foundation, overseeing its development in three priority areas – culture, research and sports – and expanding its scope to embrace the international arena.

Renaud Leblond graduated from Paris’ Institut d’Etudes Politiques [political science institute] in 1986 and received a Master’s degree in information and media management in 1988 from Paris’ Ecole Supérieure de Commerce business school. He worked as a reporter at L’Express magazine from 1988 to 1996 before joining the staff of Junior Minister for Research François d’Aubert, where he was responsible for institutional relations and technical and scientific education.

In September 1997, he joined Limagrain as biotechnology project coordinator. Appointed communications and corporate relations director in 2001, he helped create several foundations, including FARM, a foundation that specializes in agriculture and rural life worldwide.
