The U.S. is a strategic market for the Lagardère Active Group, and HFM U.S. is the second largest revenue contributor behind France. HFM U.S. will meet Lagardère Active Group’s stated goal to generate in excess of 10% of revenue from digital activities in the U.S. by 2008.
Didier Quillot, CEO of Lagardère Active said: “Alain Lemarchand has been an invaluable deputy who was instrumental in implementing and executing the Active 2009 plan. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank him for his boundless dedication. I am sure that he is the right man for the job of expanding our business in the U.S. and the Americas.”

“We are pleased to offer Jack Kliger the position of chairman. He is a widely respected leader, and, over the past nine years, Jack has done an outstanding job of restructuring the company’s portfolio and developing new media platforms. As a result, we are in a solid position in the U.S,” said Quillot.

Lemarchand will be replaced at Lagardère Active by Edward Russo, currently Corporate Controller for the Lagardère Group. He will assume this position in the coming weeks.
