Following the success of the English version of Discover, launched in January 2015 and visited by more than 100 million users a day, Snapchat is today launching the French version bringing together eight magazines, newspapers and pure-players. Paris Match is the only current affairs magazine chosen by Snapchat.
For the first time, Snapchat’s French-language users will be able to enjoy content in French on Discover. Paris Match is proud to have been chosen to participate in this fantastic adventure that will enable it to present its premium content in a creative manner and reach a new audience.
Starting today, Paris Match will offer readers 10 or so exclusive stories every day, each one specifically crafted by a dedicated team to match Discover’s narrative codes and special formats as closely as possible. Videos, photos, texts and indeed all other communication tools used by the Paris Match brand will be deployed on this innovative, intuitive platform.
As editorial partner, Paris Match retains total control of the content published on Discover. Canal+ is the first advertiser accompanying Paris Match on Discover.
Denis Olivennes, Chairman of Lagardère Active, says: “As part of its ongoing digital innovation drive, Lagardère Active is joining forces with Snapchat, the fast-growing social network. Thanks to Discover, Paris Match will be able to offer its quality content in a new digital showcase, in synch with the modern world and its new practices.”
Olivier Royant, Managing editor of Paris Match, adds: “Starting today, our magazine is available on Discover and we are teaming up with the pioneers from Snapchat to deliver new exclusive content and unprecedented visual experiences every day. Paris Match has the expertise to make sense of the never-ending flow of images we see today. With Paris Match on Discover, news is a new adventure.”
Nick Bell, SVP Content with Snapchat, comments: “Paris Match is one of France’s most influential weeklies. That is why we are happy to bring Snapchatters its unrivalled perspective on national, international and celebrity news.”
