The first panarab reality show on innovation, initiated by QATAR FOUNDATION, with the support of Lagardère Media Consulting

From Friday, May 29, 17 Arab television channels will broadcast “Stars of Science”, a previously unseen Panarab reality TV show on innovation, initiated by la Qatar Foundation, and which concept elaboration, production and distribution have been supervised by Lagardère Media Consulting, a subsidy of Lagardère Active.

This original program, which executive production has been handled by Khayal Production, will allow 16 Arab students, originating from 11 countries (selected among more than 5 600 applications) to develop their own project of innovation inside a state-of-the-art workshop and TV studio especially built in Doha (Qatar).

“Stars of Science” includes 5 weekly « prime-time » episodes (90 minutes) and 20 daily shows (45 minutes).

Thanks to an unprecedented Pan-Arab partnership, assembled by Lagardère Media Consulting, the program will be broadcast from May 29 to June 26, by 17 public and private channels:
Qatar TV, ENTV (Algeria), Bahrain TV, Nile Cultural Channel (Egypt), Jordan TV (Jordan), Saudi 1 (Saudi Arabia), Kuwait TV, Future TV (Lebanon), Tele Liban (Lebanon); Mauritania TV; Al Aoula (Morocco), Oman TV, Sudan TV, Syria 1, Yemen TV, Hannibal TV (Tunisia) and ANA.

The 5th and final episode, broadcast live on June 26, will give the chance to the viewers to vote for the winner of a 300,000 US dollars prize.

Lagardère Media Consulting reinforces thus the partnership initiated with Qatar Foundation for the launching, in September 2005, of “Al Jazeera Children’s Channel”, the first Pan-Arab edutainment TV channel.
