Lagardère Unlimited Signs American Collegiate Tennis Champion Mallory Cecil

Lagardère Unlimited announced today that it has entered into a new, multi-year management representation agreement with American Collegiate Tennis Champion Mallory Cecil. Cecil, only 19-years-old and originally from Spartanburg, South Carolina, played on the Duke University Women’s Varsity Tennis Team in the Spring of 2009. As a first semester Freshamn, Cecil became the seventh Freshman player (and 14th overall) in history in the NCAA Division 1, and the first player ever in the ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference), to capture the NCAA Division I Singles Championships and NCAA Dvision I Team Championships in the same year. Cecil also finished the 2009 season as the #1 ranked singles player in NCAA Division 1 standings, and shortly following this Cecil decided to turn professional in the summer of 2009.

“I am really excited to join Lagardère Unlimited and I feel very confident in those who will be representing me,’’ commented Mallory Cecil. “Lagardère knows the business so well and already represent some great champions so I am really looking forward to being apart of their group.”

Due to her outstanding on-court achievements. Cecil also received many other recognitions while playing for Duke University including being the recipient of the Honda Sports Award (given to the best national collegiate tennis player), and was named “Intercollegiate Tennis Association Player of the Year,’’ “Duke University Most Valuable Player of the Year,’’ “Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Year’’ and was entered into the Duke University Honor Roll and All-ACC Academic Team.

Cecil will be managed by Lagardère Unlimited President, Ken Meyerson, along with Graham Cross and Julielinh Parker.
