Lagardère Travel Retail UAE has opened STORY Kitchen & Bar at Dubai International (DXB), the first outlet to launch within the new Concourse B West precinct in Terminal 3. Developed in line with Dubai Airports’ vision for the precinct, the concept is a contemporary dining destination that combines cutting-edge design, curated gastronomy and a strong sense of place, reflecting both the sophistication of Dubai and the expectations of its diverse mix of international visitors.

STORY Kitchen & Bar is a modern brasserie that reimagines airport dining through contemporary design language, a fusion-inspired menu and attentive service. Drawing on Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Asian influences, the offer reflects Dubai’s position at the crossroads of global travel, bringing together familiar comfort dishes and more creative interpretations of international flavors.

The menu is designed for all-day flexibility, catering to different moments of the passenger journey, from breakfast to light bites and more substantial meals. Signature dishes include Bombay-style scrambled eggs inspired by Indian street food; Avocado Hummus, a Levantine classic reinterpreted with smashed avocado, spices and nuts; Steak du Levant, a Middle Eastern take on a French favorite; and the Broken Karak Ice Cream Cone, a nod to the region’s much-loved tea culture.

The beverage program complements the food offer with handcrafted coffee featuring on-trend flavors such as pistachio, matcha, ube and horchata, alongside a curated wine list, signature cocktails and a broad selection of non-alcoholic beverages.

The guest experience is built around storytelling, integrated into every touchpoint of the concept. A newspaper-style menu shares the story behind each dish, while table-top conversation starters encourage engagement. A “no phone dining” challenge invites guests to disconnect, with a complimentary dessert offered as a reward. The experience concludes with a final storytelling touch, as the traditional bill folder is replaced by a book.

Inspired by the universal appeal of all-day brasseries, the design evokes a refined downtown dining environment. Dark timbers, terracotta stone accents, detailed metalwork and soft furnishings create a warm and contemporary atmosphere. A 4-metre-high central bar serves as a striking focal point, while subtle architectural references to bookshelves reinforce the storytelling concept throughout the space.

A curated retail corner further extends the experience, featuring Dubai-based chocolatier Mirzam, exclusively available at STORY Kitchen & Bar at DXB. The selection showcases the brand’s bean-to-bar craftsmanship and artist-designed packaging, offering travelers a distinctive souvenir rooted in local creativity.

“STORY Kitchen & Bar was created to align with Dubai Airports’ commitment to continually enhance the passenger experience,” said Vadim Motlik, CEO of Lagardère Travel Retail UAE. “Its opening reflects our vision to continually deliver innovative, high quality hospitality concepts within the airport environment. By combining strong design, a clear sense of place and operational excellence, STORY Kitchen & Bar delivers a contemporary dining destination that resonates with today’s global travelers and further supports DXB’s position as a world-leading hub.”

Welcoming STORY Kitchen & Bar to DXB, Eugene Barry, Chief Commercial Officer at Dubai Airports, said “STORY Kitchen & Bar brings a distinctive, thoughtfully executed concept to the newly enhanced Concourse B West area at DXB. It reflects our belief that guest experience is not just a priority, but the foundation of everything we do. This shapes how we work with strategic partners such as Lagardère Travel Retail, and consider every aspect of the customer journey. As a homegrown concept, STORY exemplifies how we’re evolving our commercial services at DXB to be more impactful, engaging and reflective of our forward-looking identity.”

STORY Kitchen & Bar is now open in Terminal 3 near Gate B9. Follow @STORYKitchenBar for the latest updates.
