For the first time Lagardère Active is combining the power of the three brands of its News Division : le Journal Du Dimanche, Europe1 and Paris Match to launch a portal aimed at covering all breaking news and events surrounding the 62nd Cannes Festival. News feeds will be provided by the team of journalists for those 3 brands present at Cannes.
Starting on 23 April, the date on which the official selection was announced, the site has been offering films in competition at Cannes along with trailers, pictures and critical reviews by JDD.fr, Europe1.fr and ParisMatch.com as well as a detailed presentation of all Members of the Jury.
Throughout the Cannes Festival, from 13 through 24 May, the site will provide cinematic news produced in real time by the journalists on the spot at Cannes, including a presentation of films screened each day plus their review as well as a gallery of movie celebrities attending red carpet premieres, a section on behind-the-scenes events at the Festival, but also secrets and stories told in confidence to the Europe1, Journal du Dimanche and Paris Match reporters present there.
The offering of contents is coordinated and centralised by Frédéric Waringuez, editor-in-chief JDD.fr and Etienne Guffroy, in charge of the web edition for Europe1.fr in Paris, and by Yannick Vély, in charge of the web edition of ParisMatch.com, at Cannes.
This purpose of this site, which is run by Newsweb teams, is to set up links to the entertainment portal managed by Lagardère Digital France, and notably by Public and Première, brands that will be present at Cannes.
This new special « web » plan will round off the editorial events and initiatives undertaken by the other brands of Lagardère Active covering the Festival.
