Lagardère Active sells Onze Mondial

Lagardère Active has sold Onze Mondial magazine to Sporteam Média S.A.S. managed by Jean Couvercelle and Eric Brame.

This sale forms part of a strategy to recentre Lagardère Active’s print media activities around general-interest magazines mainly targeted at women’s/lifestyle, news, celebrity, youth and entertainment readerships.

Onze Mondial, the market’s leading monthly magazine with 1,700,000 readers*, is France’s foremost specialist football magazine. Created in 1976, the magazine is targeted at a specialised readership while covering more general subjects which appeals predominantly to the under 35 demographic (1st among readers aged 15-24 and under 50*).

As part of a specialised publishing group, Onze Mondial is now in a strong position to further its development.
Jean Couvercelle, Chairman and CEO of Cardmania, publishes Tennis Magazine (over 500,000 readers*). Eric Brame, Chairman of Option Régie, manages the advertising sales agency activities of special interest publications (Pariscope, Photo, Tennis Magazine, etc.) and organises a variety of events.
