Lagardère Active: new management appointees for Virgin Radio

To support the continuing development of Virgin Radio, the general management of the radio and television division has decided to expand the station’s management team.
Richard Lenormand, executive director of Lagardère Active’s radio and television division, and Roberto Ciurleo, Virgin Radio’s managing director, have appointed:

• Frédéric Pau to the position of programming director for Virgin Radio
  In this capacity, he will work alongside Roberto Ciurleo, his direct supervisor, to decide on and establish programming for Virgin Radio that reflects the station’s identity, brand and pop-music format.
• Stéphane Roux to the position of programme manager for Virgin Radio
  In this capacity, he will work alongside Frédéric Pau, his direct supervisor, to determine the editorial and artistic content of Virgin Radio and supervise the station team.

“Frédéric Pau will be a definite asset in the future development of Virgin Radio, particularly in terms of listeners and the ongoing effort – which is already well underway – to improve the pop-music format and work on local stations. As for Stéphane Roux, I have every faith that his in-depth knowledge of the brand and its history, including its men and women, will enable him to succeed in his new position,” comments Ciurleo.

About Frédéric Pau
At age 43 and with more than 25 years’ experience in music radio, Frédéric Pau truly understands the young-adult format of a station like Virgin Radio. After spending more than 23 years with NRJ, where he ultimately became programming director, Pau joined GOOM Radio in 2009 in the same capacity.

About Stéphane Roux
Stéphane Roux is 39 years old and has worked for Europe 2 and then Virgin Radio for the past 15 years. He initially produced various programmes (with Arthur, Richard Bohringer, Laurent Boyer and more), and then, until February, served as Virgin Radio’s advertising scheduling coordinator.
