Lagardère Active: France’s leading media group with 11.5 million unique visitors

Lagardère is a leading player in the French Internet sector. Following the acquisition of Doctissimo, Lagardère is now the number one French media group and the 10th largest Internet player in France, with 11.5 million unique visitors a month (non-duplicated) compared with 7.4 million in January 2008.
This major operation has enabled Lagardère Active to gain a one-year advance on its
digital turnover growth target of 5% to 10% of total turnover by 2009.
In addition to the Doctissimo network and the Newsweb sites, five Group sites are performing extremely well, with more than one million unique visitors a month, including
- Elle.fr, the leading women’s magazine website;
- Europe1.fr, which has attracted a record number of unique visitors to become the leading radio website in France;
- Tele7.fr reported an increase of more than 800% in one year!
- Infobebes.com, a community for young mothers that’s as popular as ever (live chats with experts, forums etc.)
Three of the Group’s sites attract between 500,000 and one million unique visitors a month :
Lagardère Publicité, the brokerage of diversity, sells advertising space seen by almost 15 million unique visitors a month, a coverage of almost 55% of Internet users.
