Lagardère Active has acquired SBDS, publisher of the site www.TV-replay.fr, which rounds out and expands Lagardère Active’s portfolio of websites.
A central part of the revolution in usage represented by the consumption of replay television, www.TV-replay.fr is the leading French guide to catch-up TV. Launched in April 2009, TV-replay.fr has seen steady audience growth: with nearly 1.7 million unique visitors in November 2011 (Médiamétrie/Nielsen), its audience grew by almost 70% in 12 months.
“The acquisition of www.TV-replay.fr is part of the digital expansion of Lagardère Active’s traditional expertise in television programmes,” explains Thomas Kouck, digital operations director of Lagardère Active’s France Magazine Press – Entertainment division. “We will continue to offer consumers top services in all media and to give channels the guarantee of high-quality, independent information.”
In December 2010, www.TV-replay.fr and www.Premiere.fr (the portal that brings together Lagardère Active’s movie and television themes) entered into an agreement that covers a publishing partnership as well as the marketing of www.TV-replay.fr‘s advertising space by Lagardère Publicité.
With over 4.4 million unique visitors in November 2011 (Médiamétrie/Nielsen), www.Premiere.fr is now one of the leading French digital entertainment sites.
Operational management of www.TV-replay.fr, headed up by Thomas Kouck, is overseen by Patrick Suquet and Arnaud Mary, the site’s founders.
