For the past several years, the RELAY network has been supporting Reporters Without Borders’ campaign for freedom of expression, in particular regarding the right to inform and be informed in accordance with Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

This September, Reporters Without Borders is publishing a collection of 100 photographs – Elles Changent l’Inde (Women Changing India) – aimed at promoting freedom of the press and dedicated, for the first time, to a single country.

To illustrate this book, Reporters Without Borders selected work by six high-profile photographers from the Magnum Photos agency, each of whom spent several weeks in India capturing images showing the role of women in this rapidly-changing nation. The stunning photographs pay poignant homage to these women, who hold a strategic place in the development of India.

The full purchase price of €9.90 for this collection of 100 photos goes to the association to support its activities involving press freedom, which include assistance to journalists and their families, to media in difficulty and to others.

Available at RELAY stores as of 15 September

, this book will receive free media coverage thanks to:

  • A Plein Ecran promotion shown on the network of plasma screens in more than 140 Relay stores.
  • Point-of-sale promotion.
  • A dedicated page at www.relay.fr , which encourages visitors to make donations via the Reporters Without Borders website.
