Jean-François MARIOTTE appointed General Manager of Lagardère Métropoles

Constance Benqué, CEO of Lagardère Publicité and Jean-Christophe Lestra, CEO of the French and International Music Radio Division have appointed Jean-François Mariotte, General Manager of Lagardère Métropoles*.

He will replace Emmanuel Roye who is leaving the Group by mutual agreement with Management.

Jean-François Mariotte will be in charge of devising and implementing the strategy of Lagardère Métropoles, as well as being responsible for developing print, radio, web, TV sales and below-the-line activities in French regions.

He will be in charge of coordinating and running the sales and marketing departments of Lagardère Métropoles regional offices.

His appointment will become effective on 16 November 2009.

He will keep his current position as Lagardère Publicité‘s HR Director until January 2010.

Jean-François Mariotte is 38 years old and a graduate of the School of Administration and Management of Paris II Assas University; he is currently HR Director at Lagardère Publicité. He began his career at a law firm prior to joining FNAIM, the French Estate Agency Organization, as director for employment, labour, social affairs and training, a position he held for 2 years. He then worked for 3 years as HR manager for Impact Médecin group (a Bertelsmann subsidiary). In March of 2002, Jean-François Mariotte joined Interdeco as HR director.
He was appointed Director of Human Resources for Lagardère Publicité in February 2007 and was in charge of effecting the merger of the various advertising sales organizations of Lagardère Group.

*Lagardère Métropoles is the organization in charge of promoting and marketing the Group’s print and radio business in Ile-de-France and French provinces.
