Hachette and Burda join forces in the Czech Republic

Hachette Filipacchi 2000, a Czech company 51% held by Hachette Filipacchi Médias, is pleased to welcome the Burda group as its new 49% shareholder, following the purchase by Burda of the entire stake of Martin Shenar in Komunikace 2000. Hachette Filipacchi 2000 currently publishes eight titles in the Czech Republic, including Elle, Maxim, Marianne and Apetit (www.hf.cz).

The joining of Hachette’s and Burda’s forces, especially in advertising, will result to the creation of the leading company for the sales of ad space in magazines in the Czech market.

Hachette and Burda are already partners in Germany and Poland.
