Europe Images International, a film and television distribution subsidiary of Lagardère Entertainment managed by Emmanuelle Bouilhaguet, is delighted to announce it will be ensuring the international distribution of the French adaptation of the television series “Un gars, une fille” (Love bugs).
The heroes of this scathing comedy are Alexandra Lamy and Jean Dujardin, who – among the numerous awards collected at various prestigious festivals since the movie ‘The Artist‘ hit the movie screens – has just won an Oscar for Best Actor in Los Angeles this weekend.
“Un gars, une fille” (Love bugs) gives an unabashed, scathing glimpse into the daily life of a couple in their thirties, as it runs through all the clichés of living as a couple only to make a mockery of them – to the great delight of viewers. They bicker, taunt, and tease each other. They’re arrogant, self-centered, petty and jealous. But most important, they’re in love…
This series of short sketches (438×6′) was adapted in France by Les Productions 22 (a subsidiary of Lagardère Entertainment), based on the Canadian format created by Guy A. Lepage and produced by Avanti Ciné Vidéo. It broke the record on viewing numbers when broadcast just before the evening news on France 2.
