Appointments within the Art of Living business segment

Bruno Lesouëf, Managing Director of Publications, Magazines France, is pleased to announce the following appointments within Lagardère Active’s new “Art de Vivre” business segment, effective from 1 October 2008.

• Sylvie Dumont de Chirée, Editorial Director of Elle Décoration, has been named Editorial Director of Art&Décoration, in addition to her current duties.
  She will direct Clémence Blanchard, Associate Editorial Director, who has held this position since December 2007, and who had joined Editions Massin in May 2006.
• Nathalie Soubiran was named Associate Editorial Director of Maison&Travaux under Patrick de Montalivet, Maison&Travaux Editorial Director.
  Nathalie Soubiran is a specialist in home and decoration magazines; she previously worked for Maison Magazine and Maison Bricolage et Décoration.
• Jean-Philippe Roussilhe has been named Art Director of two magazines: Art&Décoration and Maison&Travaux. He was previously art director of Maison Française.
• Anne Gastineau, Editorial Director of Parents Magazine, is becoming Editorial Director of Le Journal de la Maison and Campagne Décoration.

Philippe Khyr was appointed Publisher of Lagardère Active’s Art de Vivre business segment and Valérie Meyer-Cazeaux was named Deputy Director.

With the acquisition of the Massin Group last May, Lagardère Active became the leading publisher in the home decor segment in France, with six titles, which are interrelated and complementary: ELLE Décoration, ELLE à Table, Art&Décoration, Maison&Travaux, Le Journal de la Maison, Campagne Décoration, and Mon Jardin & Ma Maison.
The Art de Vivre business segment accounts for nearly 10.5 million copies sold (paid circulation in France according to the OJD from July 07 to June 08) with 11.8 million readers, comprising 23.67% of the French population aged 15 and over (AEPM: July 07 to June 08).

Advertising sales for these magazines is handled by Lagardère Publicité.
This range of magazines was recently enriched by the launch of the DEKIO search engine, dedicated exclusively to home decoration.
