Appointment of Olivier Sorba

Olivier Sorba has been appointed Group Head of Risk Management and Internal Controls.

Previously Head of Risk Management, Olivier Sorba has been promoted to Head of Risk Management and Internal Controls.

Olivier Sorba reports to the Group Chief Financial Officer and is a member of the Financial Committee. His responsibilities include risk mapping, monitoring the effectiveness of risk management and internal control systems, and supervising insurance programs.

In 1999 Olivier Sorba became Head of Risk Management at the Lagardère Group, which he had joined in 1995 as CEO of Lagardère North America. He had previously served as actuary and financial engineer, at the Caisse des Dépôts Group and then for the capital markets division of the Caisse Nationale de Crédit Agricole (now Calyon). He is a graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure of the rue d’Ulm in Paris, and an accredited member of the French Institute of Actuaries.
