Following recent changes in the Management Committee of Hachette Filipacchi Medias (HFM) as a result of the reorganization that united HFM and Lagardere Active under a single overarching entity, Jacques Laizet, previously HFM’s Human Resource Director, is joining Lagardère’s Corporate division, where he will contribute his experience in the fields of human resources and the media, and, in particular, his in-depth knowledge of provident schemes, vocational training and labour agreements in the press and audiovisual sectors.
He will continue to serve as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of HAFIBA, a jointly held subsidiary of HFM and the Bayard group.
Laizet will also continue to exercise his functions as the group’s representative in various professional bodies. He holds the following positions, among others: President of the Labour Relations Committee of the SPMI (magazine publishers’ union) and Deputy Secretary of the Executive Committee of the SPQN (daily newspaper union). In this capacity, he also represents the profession as the President of Audiens Prévoyance, a jointly administered institution specializing in the fields of print media, audiovisual media, entertainment and communications.
Finally, for the full range of press media, he will continue to conduct the labour-management negotiations currently underway with the journalists’ unions, talks that should be finalized shortly through the signing of a memorandum of agreement on the vocational training of freelance journalists along with a clarification of their functions within the various press enterprises.
