Antonin André appointed deputy head of Europe 1’s political news department

Fabien Namias has announced the appointment of Antonin André to the position of deputy head of Europe 1’s political news department. He reports to Alexandre Kara, head of the political news department. Mr Antonin assumed his duties on Tuesday 11 December 2012.
Antonin André, 38, is a graduate of the Institut Pratique du Journalisme (IPJ) and holds a master’s degree in geopolitics. He began his career at LCI in 2001 in the foreign political news department, and in 2004 joined the channel’s political news department. In 2007, he covered the French presidential campaign for M6 and in 2008 joined Europe 1’s political news department, where he was responsible for covering the French Socialist Party (PS). In October 2011, he was appointed deputy head of French TV channel France 2’s political news department. Mr André is also the author of Hold-uPS, arnaques and trahisons, published by Éditions du Moment in 2009, and of L’homme qui ne devait pas être président, published by Albin Michel in May 2012 (both co-authored with journalist Karim Rissouli).
