Alain Lemarchand and Seamus O’Brien appointed Chief Operating Officers of Lagardère Unlimited

Following a Supervisory Board meeting on 8 June 2011, Arnaud Lagardère has decided to appoint Alain Lemarchand as Chief Operating Officer for Europe and Africa, and Seamus O’Brien as Chief Operating Officer for the Asia-Pacific region and Middle-East.

Alain Lemarchand has held different key management roles in France and overseas (USA, Asia) within the Lagardère group. He is now in charge of developing synergies and accelerating growth in Sport and Entertainment – one of the Group’s major strategic development areas.

Seamus O’Brien is founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of World Sport Group, Asia’s leading sports marketing, media and event management company, which he founded in Hong Kong in 1992.

Arnaud Lagardère also announced the departure of Mr Olivier Guiguet at the Supervisory Board meeting.

Kevin O’Connor, Chief Operating Officer for the USA, will also be in charge of South America.

After presenting their respective objectives to them, Arnaud Lagardère tasked these three Chief Operating Officers to work as a team on developing synergies and accelerating growth of Lagardère Unlimited.
