A.I.R. takes off for Italy

The subsidiary of Aelia, Lagardère Services Group, won the tender for the duty free sales contract on board the Italian airline Eurofly.

This new contract is a real challenge for A.I.R. that will have to train an Italian logistics subcontractor and new flight personnel.

It also allows A.I.R to get a foothold in Italy with growth prospects.

Indeed, there are many charter airlines in Italy but few on-board duty free sales operators.

Eurofly operates both charters / regular low fares flights from the 2 main airports, Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino, and flights from Sharm-el-Sheikh (Egypt) and New York JFK airports during the summer season. Its leading shareholder is the Italian airline Meridiana, company of the Aga Khan holding.
