Hachette Livre International

Hachette Livre International (HLI) has a dual mission: international distribution and publishing. HLI distributes the entire catalog of the Hachette Livre group, as well as those of numerous third-party publishers, to overseas territories and countries around the world (excluding Belgium, Switzerland, and Canada).

HLI promotes and distributes books from 170 publishing houses across 159 countries. Under the two brands Édicef and Hatier International, HLI publishes educational materials specifically tailored to the curricula of countries where French is the language of instruction, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa and the Maghreb.

From preschool through college, their catalogs cover all academic disciplines. In addition to their educational activities, Édicef and Hatier International develop collections of children’s literature, supplementary educational materials, and practical guides.
