The Lagardère group pays tribute to Sophie Stabile

Corporate et Lagardère Live, Finance
Paris, 16 July 2025
Arnaud Lagardère, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lagardère SA, and all Lagardère group employees express their deep sadness at the passing of Sophie Stabile, the Group’s Chief Financial Officer, and offer their condolences to her family and loved ones.

Arnaud Lagardère pays tribute to Sophie Stabile: “Having joined Lagardère in the midst of the Covid-19 crisis, Sophie Stabile did remarkable work to help the Group bounce back. She also knew how to rally her teams around ambitious projects to optimise financial and operational performance. For several years, she fought courageously against her illness with the same energy. My thoughts and those of the Group’s employees are with her family and loved ones at this very painful time.”
Created in 1992, Lagardère is a global group present in more than 45 countries, with more than 33,000 employees and generated revenues of €8,942 million in 2024.
The Group is based on two main divisions: Lagardère Publishing (Books, Partworks, Board Games, High-end Stationery) and Lagardère Travel Retail (Travel Essentials, Duty Free and Fashion, Dining).
The Group also includes Lagardère News (Le Journal du Dimanche, Le JDNews, Le JDMag and the Elle licence), Lagardère Radio (Europe 1, Europe 2, RFM and the advertising sales brokerage, controlled by Arnaud Lagardère but wholly owned by the Group and consolidated in its financial statements), Lagardère Live Entertainment (management of concert halls, concert and show production, hospitality and local promotion) and Lagardère Paris Racing (sports club).
