Company extends its scope of activities to include fiction and entertainment for young people

Since 2008, this subsidiary of Lagardère Entertainment has carved out a name for itself as one of France’s key producers of animation programmes , producing 6 series in 3 years – or a total of 63 hours of animation (broadcast on TF1 / France Télévisions / Canal + / Gulli / Canal J / Tiji / …).

Its directors Sandrine Nguyen and Boris Hertzog have decided in agreement with Takis Candilis and Christophe Thoral (respectively CEO and COO of Lagardère Entertainment) to capitalize on the current momentum in the field of animation and to expand their activities to include all genres dedicated to young people: animation, fiction and unscripted programmes.

To reflect the new facets of its multifarious business activities, Timoon Animation has decided to re-brand itself as Genao Productions.

Christophe Thoral: « Lagardère Entertainment more than ever believes in the development of themes dedicated to young people ».

Sandrine Nguyen et Boris Hertzog : « Broadening the scope of activities of Genao Productions is a great challenge; We want to quickly be able to co-produce scripted and non-scripted programming targeted at international audiences in order to turn Genao into a driving force in the production of programmes dedicated to young people ».
