Start-up of TIMOON ANIMATION

Brigitte GAUTHIER-DARCET, Vice-President of LAGARDERE IMAGES, and Philippe MOUNIER, PMMP’s founder, have teamed up to create TIMOON ANIMATION.

The company – 66% owned by LAGARDERE IMAGES and 34% by Philippe MOUNIER – will be dedicated to animation.

Philippe MOUNIER has 15 years of successful cartoon production to his credit, and is bringing projects already under development at PMMP with him. He will serve as TIMOON ANIMATION’s President and will continue to concentrate fully on his own productions, along with the entire PMMP team, which is also joining the new company.

TIMOON ANIMATION has already signed a partnership contract with Rolf ERNST, who will act as Creative & Business Consultant. He was formerly the Director of Programme Purchasing for RTV Family Entertainment (Ravensburger).

TIMOON ANIMATION’s first creation – co-produced with the Korean company SAMG – is an original 3D sitcom called La Famille Ouf (26 x 26-min. episodes) for TF1.

This start-up bolsters LAGARDERE IMAGES’ children’s video stock and provides an opportunity for developing new synergies between LAGARDERE MEDIA’s various children’s products.
