Radio Salü : leadership position in Saar Region

Archives Lagardère Active

Saarbrücken, March 7, 2001

Twelve years after it was founded, RADIO SALÜ, the first privately owned station in the Saar region, is still a popular favorite. That was the finding in a national media study conducted by MA 2001/I and published today in Frankfurt. With a 34.4% market share, RADIO SALÜ even topped its previous record established last year (MA 2000: 34.0%). RADIO SALÜ thereby remains the undisputed radio market leader in the Saar region. Trailing far behind are the state-owned networks SR 3, with a 26.9% market share (compared with 29.9% in 2000) and SR 1, with an 18.8% market share (compared with 18.8% in 2000).

We are pleased to have further secured our market leadership. These figures confirm the wisdom of our programming choices. I would like to thank all our listeners and advertisers for their faith in us, and of course the entire staff of RADIO SALÜ“, said Jan-Michael Meinecke, the president and programming director of RADIO SALÜ.
