Lagardère Active and Meredith team up to publish Parents magazine in Greece

Lagardère Active, owner of the Parents brand in France and various other regions including Greece, has announced a partnership with American media company Meredith to develop a Greek version of the magazine.

This new licensing agreement will make it possible to boost editorial-content quality and offer new advertising opportunities.

In France, Lagardère Active is the uncontested leader for mothers and other women in the 25-to-34 age range with Parents – a monthly with circulation of 303,731 copies in 2008-2009 and 2.5 million readers in France – alongside such titles as Infobébés and Infocrèche.

Lagardère Active also has a solid global position in parenting publications thanks to such leading titles as Spain’s Crecer Feliz (www.crecerfeliz.es) and the Russian version of Parents (www.parents-online.ru).

This partnership with Meredith, a US parenting-media leader, testifies to the universal appeal of parent-oriented themes,” explains Jean de Boisdeffre, CEO for international magazines. “The combined forces of Meredith and Lagardère Active will allow us to produce a top-notch version of Parents in Greece.”
