Aelia and Lagardère Services Asia Pacific have won a call for tenders in New Caledonia to manage two retail outlets in the Noumea airport beginning in January 2011 for a 10-year period.

The two Lagardère Services subsidiaries (Aelia and Lagardère Services Asia Pacific) will manage two multiple-category stores: a 470-sq.m outlet located in the departure area and a 100-sq.m shop in arrivals. The two stores will feature a wide range of products, including perfume, cosmetics, alcohol, tobacco, candy, gourmet foods, fashions, accessories, souvenirs and electronics.

The concessions will be managed according to the MOSTRA model: Lagardère Services Asia Pacific will be in charge of day-to-day operations, while Aelia will handle purchasing, marketing, logistics and information systems. A local partner – Marlène – will supply local products and provide expertise on local issues.

In other developments, Aelia CZ opened two multiple-category (alcohol, tobacco, perfume and cosmetics) sales outlets at the end of June in the Schengen and international areas of the airport serving the Czech Republic’s third-largest city, Ostrava.
