The Relay.com press kiosk app, the first French application available in Windows 8 Consumer Preview, can now be downloaded from the Windows Store.
Relay.com is pleased to be creating a promising outlook for the French magazine press in this new technological environment offered by Microsoft. HDS Digital (operator of the Relay.com kiosk), together with its partner Immanens and the Isobar agency, is very enthusiastic about the features and tools that made it possible to develop an interface in perfect harmony with Windows 8 Consumer Preview.
The successor to Windows 7, the fastest-selling operating system in history with over 500 million licenses sold, Windows 8 will be a major growth driver for HDS Digital in this new era of convergence between computers and tablets for the digital distribution of the 580 magazines of its 230 publisher partners.
Immanens specializes in the distribution of electronic documents for press and publishing: digital press kiosks, online libraries (Dalloz), digital archives and press routing (La Correspondance de la Presse). It offers expertise applicable to the entire chain (Indesign, pdf, xml, digitization, digital rights management, readers) as well as to mobile applications, particularly for iPhone/iPad (such as the Autoplus and Bottin Gourmand apps).

Its tablet-computer customer share rose from 54% in December 2010 to 77% one year later.
