Two dictionaries written and illustrated entirely by children

These two dictionaries, created under the auspices of the Ministry of National Education and the National Centre for Pedagogical Documentation, were written by students from primary classes during the 2010-2011 school year in the context of a wide-reaching project launched by the Ministry of Education and aimed at developing mastery of the French language and preventing illiteracy.

The result of schoolchildren’s imagination and efforts, these dictionaries contain definitions of the most common terms in the French language as well as exciting encyclopaedic and cultural additions (games, riddles and poems) and a large number of illustrations.

Release date: 18 October 2011
