1. General use
2. The sections of the Web Site
When you visit the Web Site, Lagardère gives you access to various sections, including:
- The “Press Room” section and its “Media Library” which you can use to download photographs and logos of the Lagardère group;
- The “Investor Relations” section where you can find up-to-date information about our group, such as financial information, and where you can subscribe to E-mail Alert ;
- The “Human Resources” section where you can peruse job offers within the Lagardère group and upload your CV;
- The “Press Room” section and its “Media Library”:
The Web Site’s “Press Room” allows you to access a media library featuring photographs and logos of the Lagardère group.
Lagardère SCA (hereinafter “the Company”) grants you the right to use, save, reproduce, copy and print out the photographs that are contained in the Media Library (the “Photographs”) for your own personal, non-commercial use only. In doing so, you agree to comply with all rules governing copyright and image rights and in general with any applicable national, European or international rule of law.
Therefore you agree not to do any of the following:
- Reproduce the Photographs, in whole or in part, for the purposes of sale, distribution, broadcast, publication or communication in any form whatsoever, without first securing specific written authorization from the photographer who holds the copyright to the Photographs and/or the persons featuring in the Photographs, where applicable;
- Use the Photographs for commercial or promotional purposes;
- Use the Photographs in any way which is likely to damage the image and reputation of the photographer who holds the copyright to the Photographs and/or of the persons featuring in the Photographs or of any other third party who may incur damage as a result of such use. To that end you agree not to use the Photographs in a way which might be insulting, denigrating or defamatory or in any other way which might damage the image and reputation of the photographer who holds the copyright to the Photographs and/or of the persons featuring in the Photographs or of any other third party who may incur damage as a result of such use;
- Modify the Photographs in any way whatsoever or damage the integrity of the Photographs.
Copyright statements must be visibly shown on each reproduction of the Photographs. For information concerning the relevant photographic credits, please refer to the corresponding page (“Credits”).
You agree to comply with any instructions which may be issued by the holder(s) of the relevant intellectual property rights concerning the use and reproduction of the Photographs.
The Lagardère logos
The Company grants you the right to use, save, reproduce, copy and print out the Lagardère logos that are contained in the Media Library (the “Logos”) for your own personal, non-commercial use only. In doing so, you agree to comply with all intellectual property laws, such as the rules governing copyright and the laws applicable to trademarks and in general with any applicable national, European or international rule of law.
Therefore you agree not to do any of the following:
- Reproduce the Logos, in whole or in part, for the purposes of sale, distribution, broadcast, publication or communication in any form whatsoever, without first securing specific written authorization from the Company;
- Modify the Logos in any way whatsoever and/or represent the Logos in a way which does not comply with the instructions (in terms of colour, size, etc.) concerning the reproduction of said Logos as described in the Company’s graphic design charter that is available from the Communications Department (email: firstname.lastname@example.org);
- Use the Logos for commercial or promotional purposes or in any way which is likely to damage the image and reputation of the Lagardère group and/or of its senior officers and employees.
Wherever applicable, copyright statements must be visibly shown on each reproduction of the Logos.
The fact that the Web Site or any Lagardère Alert mentions other trademarks, whether figurative or other, which belong to third parties, shall not be construed as constituting an implied or express license to use such trademarks or an authorization of any kind whatsoever in connection with the trademarks unless this is backed by a prior written authorization from the third parties that hold the trademarks. Any use of such trademarks which is not expressly authorized by the holders of the trademarks in question is strictly prohibited.
- The “Investor Relations” section:
The Web Site’s “Investor Relations” section enables you to subscribe to E-mail alert of Lagardère corporate news.
Any personal data (full name, e-mail address or telephone number, etc.) which you provide in order to subscribe to these alerts shall be collected and processed by the Company (the organization that is responsible for processing the data) in keeping with the provisions of France’s data protection law, the Information Technology and Civil Liberties Act (la loi Informatique et Libertés) of 6 January 1978. Any fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory.
The personal data that you provide will only be used by the Communication Department of the Lagardère group for the purpose of sending you the Alerts that you have chosen to subscribe to; it will not be disclosed to any third parties, and will be destroyed immediately should you unsubscribe.
This data collection and processing arrangement has been declared to the CNIL, France’s national data protection agency.
In accordance with articles 39 and 40 of the Information Technology and Civil Liberties Act of 6 January 1978, as subsequently modified by the Act of 6 August 2004, you have a right to access, modify and request the erasure of any data of a personal nature that you have provided to us. The Investor Relations section also gives you access to financial information about, in particular, Lagardère stock and the Lagardère share price (in the “Lagardère stock” section).

- The "Human Resources" section and "Our opportunities" pages :
The information that we request from you in this section, where you can upload your CV, is intended to provide an online information source for recruitment staff within the Lagardère Group and its subsidiaries. Fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory, insofar as a failure to provide this information may make it impossible to save your CV. Any information concerning you, such as CVs uploaded onto the Site, will only be used by recruitment staff within the Group and its subsidiaries with a view to assessing a possible recruitment.
The data you input for this purpose is collected and processed by Lagardère Ressources (which is responsible for data processing) in accordance with the provisions of France's Data Protection law of 6 January 1978.
When you upload your CV, it will be made available for viewing by recruitment staff within the Human Resources departments at head office and within the subsidiaries:

- Lagardère Publishing/Hachette Livre
- Lagardère Travel Retail
- Lagardère Sports and Entertainment
- and their subsidiaries.
If you no longer wish your CV to be accessible, simply deactivate it on your Applicant Page. Your CV will remain in the database but will no longer be visible to the recruitment staff of the Group or its subsidiaries. Even when your CV is deactivated, you can still use it to apply for vacancies published by the Group and its subsidiaries. In this case, only the recruiter who published the vacancy will receive your CV.
The information that you disclose in the Human Resources section will be kept on the Site for a period of 12 months, although you may request that it be deleted at any time before the expiry of this period of time as indicated below.
In accordance with articles 38 to 40 of France's Data Protection law of 6 January 1978, as amended by the law of 6 August 2004, you have the right to access, modify, rectify and delete any data concerning you. You may oppose the processing of data that you have provided at any time, free of charge and without need for justification.
You may make some of these changes yourself online, by accessing your Applicant Page using the user name and password allocated to you.
You may also request the removal of your My Applicant Page account and CV at any time. The system will automatically cancel all your applications

- The “RSS Feed” section
Thanks to the new tools on our Web Site, you can now access it directly from your own personal pages. Indeed, thanks to an RSS stream you can remotely update the Company’s press releases or events via a suitable application or service available on the Internet.
The Company permits you to use this right for your own personal, non-commercial use only. In doing so you agree to comply with all rules governing copyright and image rights and in general with any applicable national, European or international rule of law.
You agree not to use this right in any way which might damage the image and reputation of the Company, of its affiliates and of their employees.
3. Data Protection / privacy
The Company’s pledge
Company and Lagardère Ressources commitments.
The Company and Lagardère Ressources undertake that the personal data you input into the Site shall not be processed for any purpose other than that you originally intended.
The Company and Lagardère Ressources undertake, moreover, not to transfer this data to third parties (other than for hosting purposes where necessary) and to ensure the confidentiality of the data collected.

Hosting of the data
The data that you input on the "Human Resources" sub-section of the Site will be hosted and stored on servers located within the European Union. These servers are maintained : Equinix - Luttenbergweg 4 - 1101 EC Amsterdam Zuid-Oost - The Netherlands.
The data that you provide under the other sections of the Web Site is hosted and stored on servers maintained by Prosodie and by the Company. Please note that all visits to our Site are monitored. Any use of our Site is recorded. No data of a personal nature which might identify you, the user, is collected as part of this monitoring and recording. The functionality of the Human Resources section sometimes requires the creation of cookies. These cookies are activated by our server upon each use of the Human Resources section and are not stored on your computer, which guarantees your anonymity.
