In 2019, the growing social expectations coupled with regulatory changes and the PACTE law in particular led us to launch the company's raison d'être project ,with our stakeholder panel, composed of 12 experts.

The panel has the following aims:

  • Contributing to the Group's forward-looking discussions regarding its main workforce-related social and environmental issues
  • Collecting advice, expectations, criticism regarding the CSR policy 
  • Adjusting and strengthening the CSR roadmap in line with the business model
  • Analyzing the emerging trends which could impact on Lagardère's group' business activities -medium and long term-
  • Making CSR a driver of innovation and performance

Created in 1992, Lagardère is an international group with operations in more than 40 countries worldwide. It employs over 30,000 people and generated revenue of €7,211 million in 2019.

Under the impetus of the Group's General and Managing Partner, Arnaud Lagardère, in 2018, the Group launched a strategic refocusing around two priority divisions: Lagardère Publishing and Lagardère Travel Retail.
