In Spain, Zalando will begin to work exclusively with the company Celeritas as a new logistics partner.

Celeritas will further improve Zalando’s service by adding a network of more than 1.400 Celeritas Points in which deliveries will be possible even on Saturdays and Sundays. With Celeritas, Zalando will also offer the chance to send free returns from home, work or the most convenient address.

From August, Zalando will begin to work exclusively with the company Celeritas as a new logistics partner in Spain. In this way, the online fashion and footwear company wishes to further improve its customer service, offering them even greater flexibility in deliveries which, henceforth, may also be made on Saturdays and Sundays (according to the working hours of the chosen Celeritas pick-up point). Furthermore, with Celeritas there will also be the chance to send returns easily from home, work or the most convenient address. All this at no extra cost.

The logistics company Celeritas, belonging to the SGEL group (part of LS distribution), which won the “E-commerce Award 2011”, will be assigned to manage the distribution of packages from Zalando in Spain from August, 2013.

At present, the new logistics provider has a network of Celeritas Points which includes over 1,400 stores spread all over the country. Henceforth, Zalando’s customers may choose their nearest Celeritas Point during the purchasing process and receive their package there. They may collect it within a period of up to 10 days and at very flexible hours, and they may also continue to have the normal option of home delivery. In this way, the e-business company aims to ensure that its customers have more flexibility when receiving their parcels.
The free package return process will also be made easier with the change of logistics provider: Zalando’s customers may deliver their returns either at the Celeritas Point they find most convenient or directly to a courier company, which, after reaching a prior agreement with the customer, will collect the package at home, work or preferred address during the day and during the hours set.

Zalando’s customers may track their package from the moment it leaves the warehouses in Germany until the final destination. They will receive notice by e-mail or by text message (if they provide their telephone number) 24 hours before their package reaches the chosen destination.
