A combination training and scientific centre, TeamLagardère has developed an ambitious, innovative programme designed to foster the highest levels of athletic performance. Located at the Paris Jean Bouin multi-sport athletic club, this centre combines highly skilled personnel and state-of-the-art sporting, scientific and medical facilities on a single site. These resources optimize athletic training for international competition through a highly rigorous, professional approach.

The coaching and scientific teams have mainly focused on evaluating the technical and physical abilities of professional tennis players and then providing them with an optimal training structure, all the while ensuring regular medical follow-up and close monitoring during competitions. In 2008, however, TeamLagardère significantly extended the centre’s entire range of expert services to cover other sporting disciplines – including athletics, boxing, fencing, judo, swimming, table tennis and triathlon – particularly by way of special relationships with Lagardère Paris Racing’s professional athletes.

In addition to its coaching support programmes, TeamLagardère’s scientific centre of expertise conducts research and development projects in partnership with EADS, the University of Lyon 1, the Compiègne University of Technology (UTC) and the French Defence Ministry’s Institute of Aerospace Medicine (IMASSA), with the goal of boosting knowledge in the field of coaching and developing technological tools to monitor high-level sporting performance and fitness activities.
