Partnerships

Lagardère keeps an open mind regarding its involvement in sports, seeking to share its expertise and skills by developing partnerships with interested organizations. This desire for open exchange has already borne fruit through partnerships with French sports federations and active support for sporting activities in Paris and, more generally, for France’s national teams.

French Table Tennis Federation

The partnership agreement signed by TeamLagardère with the French Table Tennis Federation (FFTT) on 15 March 2006 for a two-and-a-half year period is aimed at increasing France’s chances of winning medals during upcoming continental and international events. France Promotion (which comprises a group of four young, upcoming French players) will be able to take full advantage of TeamLagardère’s advice, support and scientific expertise. This collaboration specifically focuses on the assessment and analysis of physical and muscular capacity, assistance with training schedules and optimization of performance levels for the group’s athletes.

Roland Garros international tennis tournament (French Open)

Arnaud Lagardère and Christian Bîmes, chairman of the French Tennis Federation, signed a five-year partnership agreement in April 2005 covering French Open tournaments from 2005 to 2009. Lagardère has a presence throughout these two-week events, particularly via its radio station Europe 1, which broadcasts directly from the courts at Roland Garros stadium.

Paris Jean Bouin Club

The Paris Jean Bouin multi-sport club covers seven hectares in western Paris. Lagardère has been in partnership with Paris Jean Bouin since 2004, lending its support by helping to modernize the club and create coaching teams to provide advanced training for young athletes. The presence of TeamLagardère offices on the club grounds as of late 2005 is a sure sign of the close relationship between Paris Jean Bouin and Lagardère.

GDF-Suez Open
As proof of its sincere, steadfast interest in women’s tennis, Lagardère has developed a partnership with one of the most prestigious women’s tennis tournaments, the GDF-Suez Open, in addition to offering particular support to Amélie Mauresmo and Alizé Cornet, two top contenders who are closely monitored by TeamLagardère.

The group's values

The Group has clear values that determine its personality. Lagardère's creativity, boldness and independence have helped to create a modern, innovative media group that's in touch with its times.
