Paris, September 2015

Denis Olivennes, President and CEO of Lagardère Active, has announced the renaming of its subsidiary, Lagardère Entertainment – the audiovisual content specialist and leading film and TV production group in France, headed by Takis Candilis.

As of today, Lagardère Entertainment becomes Lagardère Studios.

The name change is part of the gathering momentum a round the company, which has led it to restructure into four divisions (France TV production, International TV production, Format distribution/acquisition and Corporate/Digital), to further its growth internationally.

This change of identity is another step in the international growth strategy of Lagardère Studios, which aims to become a major player in European audiovisual content production.

For Takis Candilis, President of Lagardère Studios: “This change of identity complements our recent reorganisation into four divisions. The Lagardère Studios strategy is to continue its expansion drive, consolidating and extending its leading position in France and developing it in Europe.
