Lagardère Entertainment’s distribution subsidiary, headed by Emmanuelle Bouilhaguet, is changing its name to become Lagardère Entertainment Rights (LE Rights).

This reflects Lagardère Entertainment’s desire to strengthen ties between its production and distribution activities.

LE Rights reaffirms its will to become a major player in distribution by pursuing a strategy to expand its catalogue with iconic programs for the international market, through acquisition (Bref., Play, Which is Witch) as well as group productions (Transporter, the series and Xiaolin).

As of now LE Rights will also act as a partner in financing international series.

The value of rights has become fundamental in our profession,” says Christophe Thoral, COO of Lagardère Entertainment. “It is essential for Lagardère Entertainment, leader in French audiovisual production, to draw on the strengths of a powerful distribution company such as LE Rights.
