Highlights of the 2012 autumn programming from June and MCM

June's 2012 autumn programming

June and MCM together form the Lagardère Active TV division's Young Adult offering. This clear, complementary programming provides a variety of entertainment shows aimed at young men and women aged 15 to 34.

June is the No. 1 entertainment channel aimed exclusively at young women.

With a clear focus on glamour, humour and entertainment, June is fresh, sparkling, wide-ranging and easygoing. Fashion, great ideas, series that reflect the times we live in and charismatic heroines are the basic ingredients of the June formula.
June is there every day for a new generation of young women who are comfortable with themselves and are looking for fun and practical advice in their day-to-day lives.

This season, June has doubled the audience share for its target groups, achieving 2.4% among women aged 15-24 and 1.2% among women aged 15-34. As a result, the channel has won its bet by taking the top position among specialty channels in its core target group.

June is the perfect combination of lightheartedness with a dash of maturity for an explosive cocktail!

It's a position that has really paid off with a varied, well-organized programming schedule that focuses on a topic that really matters to viewers each month, including
Getting the autumn off to a good start in September, Fashion in October, Hollywood in November and so on.

Mesdemoiselles JuneThe channel is also broadcasting series that have caused a stir in the United States but have not yet been shown in France, with the talent show The L.A. Complex and the brilliant Dr. Zoe Hart of Hart of Dixie taking over from the heroines of series no longer being shown on June, such as Pretty Little Liars, Physique ou chimie, Skins and Degrassi.

The fashion event of the autumn is the arrival of the 24-Hour Catwalk designers' competition, presented by Alexa Chung and being shown exclusively on June. Chung is one of the leading young women in the world of fashion; together with three judges, she will be assessing the work of young designers looking to establish their reputation.

Finally, June would not be complete without its various young female stars, including Juliette Longuet, June's ambassadress for glamour and new trends, reporter Carole Tolila and off-the-wall blogger Navie, joined this year by Victoria Bedos, who will cover sports with plenty of good humour.

MCM's 2012 autumn programming

MCM: all forms of entertainment for young men

MCM is a fun, easygoing channel for young men that features the latest trends in series, manga and other thrilling experiences. Bold programming and innovative positioning have confirmed the success of the channel by attracting young men hooked by animated programming that includes the very best in manga, such as One Piece, Bleach and, as an exclusive, the blockbuster series Robot Chicken (Warner), with a 75% increase in audience share at lunchtime and an 18% increase during the lead-in to prime time.

Childrens Hospital - MCMOff-the-wall humour, thrilling experiences and adventure...

MCM is continuing in the same vein for 2012, consolidating its positioning with exclusive new shows, including:

  • Children's Hospital: the American series that parodies Grey's Anatomy, ER and even Scrubs will be broadcast exclusively on MCM as of October.
  • Mudcats - les poissons de l'extrême will appeal to anyone looking for thrilling experiences. The show follows the exploits of extreme fishermen who catch giant catfish with their bare hands.

Now more than ever, MCM is the benchmark for mangas and opens the season with some all-new episodes from the team behind the famous One Piece, which returns to the channel.
