Patrice Trapier appointed deputy editorial director of JDD
Olivier Jay, editorial director of Journal du Dimanche, has announced Patrice Trapier's appointment as the newspaper's deputy editorial director. Trapier was previously an editor-in-chief at JDD.
He will draw on his extensive professional experience in the world of journalism and his strong commitment to JDD, for which he has worked for 22 years, in implementing a number of changes, including building on the success of the Saturday edition, alongside Mr Jay.
He will ensure the continued development of the newspaper's content and operations, in tandem with Claude Askolovitch, Guillaume Rebière, Laurent Valdiguié and Eric Chodez, the paper's other editors-in-chief.
Mr Trapier, 51, worked as a reporter at Onze Mondial from 1983 to 1985 before becoming Antenne 2's managing editor from 1985 to 1987. In 1988, he joined Journal du Dimanche, working as a special correspondent until 1996, when he was appointed JDD's news director (1996-2000). He was made the paper's editor-in-chief in 2000.
