MCM in search of the best Cosplayer in France

A real society phenomenon in Japan and increasingly popular in France, Cosplay consists of dressing up and making yourself up to look like your favourite manga, video game or film character or star.

Now MCM is giving TV viewers and web users the chance to become “the best Cosplayer in France” in the first ever participative competition on this theme.

MCM invites all Cosplay enthusiasts to visit the MCM.net website and enter the competition. Each entrant must post a video in which they introduce themselves in an original way and talk about their passion, both in and out of costume.

A panel (including Noemie Alazard, presenter of Ultra Manga) will select five finalists according to how closely they resemble their characters, the quality of their costume/make-up and their performance in their video. Videos of part or all of the presentations by the chosen entrants will be broadcast on the MCM channel from 10 to 21 March 2010.
During this period, MCM viewers will be invited to text in votes for their favourite Cosplayer.

The winner of this great competition will be revealed on 24 April at 4.15 pm when they will be the special guest on the Ultra Manga show presented by Noemie Alazard.
