Lagardère Sports is seeking a Manager, Golf Social Media. Reporting to the Vice President, US Communications, this position will manage the social media accounts for several of the agency’s industry leading roster of golf clients.  S/he will create strategic social media plans for client’s social media accounts, create content, and handle posting across all platforms. This person will travel to a select professional golf tournaments on behalf of the agency, working with golf clients, and posting content from the events.  S/he will also provide content for the agency’s corporate social and digital assets in the US and globally.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute dedicated social media plans for Lagardère Sports’ golf clients that grow their respective followers and increase engagement across all relevant social media platforms.
  • Develop content calendar for all managed client social media channels.
  • Collaborate with golf agents and clients to develop constant flow of content for social purposes. 
  • Develop comprehensive reporting mechanisms that illustrate social engagement and audience growth. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key client business partners to synchronize and amplify social media campaigns. 
  • Help secure content for use in Lagardère Sports media projects focused on golf clients.
  • Manage all aspects of multiple social media accounts and generate content (i.e. Facebook posts, Tweets, Snaps, images and short format videos) to engage target audiences across social channels.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and trends in social media and apply to Lagardère Sports golf client accounts.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in experience creating and managing social media content.
  • Proficient understanding of all social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat), including emerging platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in and passion for golf strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing cutting-edge creative campaigns, with an emphasis on innovation, and creating high quality content.
  • Strong experience in managing social media for a brand, sports property or athlete/celebrity
  • Knowledge and understanding of leading social media monitoring tools
  • Extensive project management and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written presentation and communication skills.
  • BA/BS required
