Retail outlet manager

Role:

This salaried store manager (no capital investment required) is responsible for developing all areas of his or her retail outlet, including sales, stock management and staff coordination.

The retail outlet manager’s responsibilities include:

• Sales
• Customer service
• Management/coordination
• Management/administration
• Purchasing/supplier relations

Environment:

The retail outlet manager works as part of the retail networks (Relay for example). He or she is given operational support and expert advice by head office in the fields of merchandising, management, etc.

Background:

No standard training required.

Personal qualities:

Independent, rigorous, responsive and approachable, with good managerial, administrative and sales skills, a high level of computer literacy, excellent interpersonal and listening skills, and an awareness of his or her responsibilities.
